Degenerative Disc Disease

Degenerative discs cause disc bulges because as the disc degenerates, the bones also get closer together. Rule #1 - you can't sqeeze a jelly donut without the jelly moving out. The same thing happens to a disc. Spinal decompression is the best option for degenerative discs because it will treat the disc itself. Medically there is nothing that can be done except for pain medication.

Herniated Discs

A herniated disc is a common injury that can affect any part of the spine, but most commonly in the neck and low back. A herniated disc can cause severe pain and other problems in the arms or legs. Spinal decompression is the only treatment that can un-bulge and un-herniate discs, and gives the only option other than surgery or steroid injections.

Sciatica

Sciatica is caused when a bulging disc bumps into the nerve that goes down the leg. Most people feel extreme pain, burning or electric shocks that can go all the way down to the feet. Common treatments are steroid injections into the spine to numb the pain. Spinal decompression safely pulls the bulge back into place so the problem itself goes away.

Stenosis

Stenosis is most commonly caused from a severely bulged disc pressing on the outter covering of the spinal cord. This condition can be serious because it can cause lasting damage to the nerve and muscles if not treated. Spinal decompression is the only option to avoid surgery in this case, but needs to be treated immediately.

Cervical Radiculopathy

Cervical radiculopathy occurs when a bulging disc presses on the nerve that goes down the arm. In some cases the pain may stop above the elbow. Other cases might go below the elbow and even to the fingers. Spinal decompression can isloate the specific disc that is causing the pain and repair it, completely eliminating the problem.

Scoliosis

Spinal decompression cannot correct a scoliosis. However we have treated hundreds of patients with disc related problems from the abnormal curvature of the spine. When the disc that is under pressure, and being bulged, is given fluid back into it, the end results cause a massive reduction in muscle spasms and nerve pain that is long-lasting.
